Liam on TW-004     Activating TW-004

We had a short family break booked in Scarborough, so on the way over I decided to bag a quick activation of this summit.  After passing York on the A64, I turned right onto the A166 and drove up to the lay-by near the summit of this road.  This is close to the summit of TW-004, which is marked by a trig point in a water board field (no access allowed).  A covered reservoir in the same field actually stands higher than the trig point.  We walked some way along the grass verge by the side of the road until we found a suitable point to erect the SOTA Beam and activate the summit.  With Marianne waiting impatiently and somewhat perplexed back down the road in the car, I made this a quick 4 x 2 activation, saving my indulgent playing radio for later in the week.
