This photograph depicts my operation on Black Hill SP-002 on 22nd February 2003 (hence +3 bonus points). The picture had to be taken by a helpful passing fell runner. Jimmy (regular photographer) and Liam were otherwise engaged in an unscheduled brotherly scrap (deliberately not pictured).
We parked at SE 051 063 to walk the marked path to Black Hill. However, this was a mistake which we won't be repeating. This hardly defined path traverses countless large ditches across the peat bog, making walking (with two young children) tough going and slow! Next time we will park at SE 077 076 and link up with the Pennine Way route. This then continues on an almost completely paved path (marked as dotted on the map) up to the trig point at the summit. Thanks to the following stations worked, all on 2m FM with 2.5 watts:
