This summit was activated on Saturday 29th May 2004, by myself, accompanied by Jimmy and Liam.  We drove across via the M56 and A55, taking in breakfast at a McDonalds on the A55.  The roads were fine, but later on they were gridlocked, so good job we were out early!  We took the A470 to Llandudno from the A55, then taking the steeply inclined lanes to the summit complex car park.  Parking was £2 for 4 hours. 

I set up station a little to the other side of the trig point from the transmitter masts, and this lessened (but didn't cure) the problems with breakthrough.  The activation was very enjoyable with 26 contacts made, and a welcome visit from Jenny MW0BET and Roger MW0IDX with whom we enjoyed a drink and a chat on the bar terrace after packing up.
