In Burton-in-Kendal, we found the road to the Plain Quarry car park which was now relieved of the burnt out vehicle that greeted us here last year.  We made the pleasant short ascent through the limestone pavements and woods, and set up right by the trig point.  This time it was easy to get contacts on 2m, so we were on our way again fairly soon, working Simon MW1AVV/P on Moelwyn Mawr GW/NW-016 on the descent.  From the car park, Jimmy directed me to the optimum point to rejoin the M6(N).
