This summit was activated by M1EYP (Tom) and M3EYP (Jimmy), accompanied by "little" brother Liam on Sunday 16th October 2005. We parked at Upper Booth and ascended via the Pennine Way and Jacob's Ladder to the activation point at Kinder Low.
It was extremely cold and windy, and getting shelter, even with all the rocks on the summit plateau, was virtually impossible. Hence we didn't hang around too long, and the requests for 2m SSB and 70cm FM had to be turned down. Away from the summit, the weather was nice and the walking good. Liam enjoyed his debut climb of Kinder Scout and maintained a strong pace all day.
