Lambrigg Fell 2006

After the breakfast at Kendal Youth Hostel, we headed back East towards the M6, and the familiar parking spot by the quarry entrance, with Lambrigg Wind Farm ahead.  It was a dry, sunny and pleasant morning, and we were looking forward to three straightforward activations before returning home to Macclesfield.

The walk-in past the farm on the left and the wind-farm on the right is one we have always enjoyed, and today was no exception.  Nothing marks the summit as such, just a mound of earth and grass, nominated as the highest in the area by Ordnance Survey, topped by a tall dry stone wall.  An unhurried half hour was spent on air whilst on the summit and enjoying the crisp morning views.
