I secured a pass-out for Friday 20th November 2015, and my main objective was to add several "multiplier" points in the SOTA 6m/10m Challenge.
My first target was Lambrigg Fell very close to J37 of the M6, so a fast drive and easy to navigate. As usual, I parked in the quarry entrance.
It was quite hard work finding contacts on 6m or 10m, but I did eventually grind out two local groundwave QSOs on 28MHz CW. Eventually I got bored of trying to get more 10m QSOs, so resorted to 2m FM to qualify the activation. The band had clearly not "woken up" yet for the day, and I decided that a better priority would be to make my way to the second planned summit - Hutton Roof Crags G/LD-052.
