This summit was walked and activated on Thursday 22nd July 2004, on my own on this
occasion.
Today's activation went to plan. After dropping my dad off in Runcorn, I continued to
the end of the M56, onto the A55, and down to the villlage of Nanerch, continuing across
down the lane to the small car park for this section of the Offa's Dyke Path. On this
occasion, I did not mistakenly
follow the land rover track, but followed the higher and narrower ODP. After a 25
minute dash to the summit, I set up and quickly worked 7 regular chasers, all of whom had
read the reflector and were waiting for me. Many thanks!
After packing up, I descended in a little over 15 minutes, and drove back to Runcorn
where my dad complained that I was half-an-hour late. Oh well, you can please SOME
of the people ALL of the time etc etc etc.......
Many thanks to the following stations, worked on 2m FM with 0.5 watts down to GW0VMW, 2.5
