Sunday 1sth March 2020 - Brown Clee Hill G/WB-002, Titterstone Clee Hill G/WB-004, View Edge G/WB-018, Long Mynd-Pole Bank G/WB-005, Stiperstones G/WB-003, Corndon Hill GW/MW-013, Mynydd-y-briw GW/NW-060, Gyrn Moelfre GW/NW-049, Hope Mountain GW/NW-062, The Cloud G/SP-015 & Gun G/SP-013 After carefully driving off the Long Mynd down to Bridges, it was uphill again on the other side of the valley, and up to the Stiperstones NNR car park. The day was continuing to be a very pleasant one, and unsurprisingly, the car park was busy. Most of the path up Stiperstones is good, but as you near the summit area, the rocks you are walking on become rather large and care is needed to avoid nasty falls or sprained ankles! A few decades of erosion will help I'm sure!
I drew a blank when spotting and calling on 144.6125MHz C4FM (digital Fusion), so went over to 145.500MHz FM (analogue). Here, the second station to reply was Stephen 2W0JYN who I happened to know also had C4FM capability, so a quick QSY guaranteed me the DV Challenge multiplier. The activation produced seven QSOs, four on FM, three on C4FM. That was the fifth summit of the day activated - but I still had six to go, so I descended and headed off for Corndon Hill GW/MW-013.
