Sunday 30th April 2017 began by setting out from the M25 Travelodge near Purfleet, Essex.  I had been gigging at the Circus Tavern venue with Joe Longthorne and the band on the Saturday evening.  I had another gig to move onto, this one being a Motown Gold job up in Wolverhampton.

No fail on Walton Hill G/CE-002. Wandered up with just the 2m FM handheld and rubber duck. Five contacts in 7 minutes - easy. Sometimes I suspect I overcomplicate this SOTA business...  Then onto the gig, and another night's work - and another late arrival home in Macclesfield!
