On New Year's Day 2004, after my earlier activations on Long Mynd-Pole Bank G/WB-005 and Stiperstones G/WB-003, I moved onto Corndon Hill GW/MW-013, site of mine & Jimmy's Gaulfest activation just 3 days previous.  I took the same route up and worked seven stations, virtually all regulars - M0DFA, GW4BVE, MW0YLS, G0OXV, M0HDE, M0DEV/M, GW1AUJ.  It was pretty slushy and icy on the steep ascent, so this time I descended the slightly longer (but still short) and more graded way around the south of the wood.  I then drove up towards Oswestry and to a planned joint activation of Gyrn Moelfre NW-049 with Shirley MW0YLS.
