Saturday 3rd October 2020 - Walton Hill G/CE-002, High Vinnalls G/WB-012, Burrow G/WB-014, Callow Hill G/WB-015 & Caer Caradoc Hill G/WB-006

From Walton Hill G/CE-002, I drove several miles WSW to the other side of Ludlow.  I parked in the usual car park NNW of the summit and set off on the walk that is only about half a mile, but involves around 150m of ascent.  Again I decided to deploy the SOTAbeams SB5, and use an SMA-BNC adaptor to use it with my Yaesu FT70D handheld.

Stewart G0LGS was worked first, but his son Matt 2E0MDJ was still not out of bed - and so the C4FM rig in their house was not available.  Fortunately, the second chaser to call in was Steven 2W0JYN who I happened to know had C4FM capability.  He was followed by another station on C4FM - Nik M5DND.  I still needed one more to qualify for the SOTA activation point, and this was provided by G4TRA back on 2m analogue FM.

After a swift descent, the next waypoint in my satnav was for Burrow G/WB-014.
