SOTA Beam on Mynydd-y-Briw NW-060    MW1EYP/P portable station on NW-060

This was quite tricky to get to from where I was, having just descended Gyrn Moelfre GW/NW-049.  The lanes on my road map turned out to be only farm tracks that I did not really fancy taking my relatively new motor over on the off-chance that there was a way through. Instead, I virtually circum-navigated the hill in an anti-clockwise fashion from the north.  I arrived at the access track to the transmitter atop Mynydd-y-briw and pulled in by the side of the gate.  A five-minute skip up the track was all that was required before setting up on the grass behind the transmitter.  Five 2m FM QSOs were made before I made good use of my flask of "Stilton & White Wine" soup in the quickly chilling early evening air.   I descended and set-off in the direction of the Youth Hostel at Bridges, between Stiperstones and Long Mynd.

Thanks to the following stations worked, all on 2m FM with 2.5 watts:

G4UFU Alsager Brian
M1CVL Heywood Mike
M0VGP/M Great Barr Sean
G8TPM Cookley, Worcs. Nigel
MW5DAD Lake Celyn Paul
