Selworthy Beacon 2018

After Periton Hill G/SC-006 on Thursday 28th June 2018, it was the trivially easy, yet always pleasant Selworthy Beacon G/SC-005.  This was the third of three Exmoor summits planned in the day, and by far the easiest - not that the previous two were difficult in any way.  Parking here is on the high road up out of Minehead, where we'd paused for lunch at the wonderful Oggy Pasty shop, another old favourite of ours.

We set up our respective stations close to the trig point and summit cairn.  Jimmy qualified very quickly on 2m FM working several stations over the Bristol Channel into South Wales.  I qualified soon after on 20m CW before we packed up and walked back to the car.

We were keen for another couple of summits in the day at least, and next it was over to the Quantock Hills for Wills Neck G/SC-002.
