On Saturday 2nd April 2005, we reverted to the early start and 7am Ulster Fry breakfast at Apsley's in Larne, where we met Colin GI0RQK at the start of a day of joint activating.  We dropped off Colin's car outside my father-in-law's house and used just the one car for the day, as we headed, for the first time, north into County Antrim. We drove up the beautiful A2 Antrim Coast Road, through Ballygalley, Glenarm, Carnlough, Glenariff and Cushendall, before turning left towards Slieveanorra GI/AH-003.  After correcting a wrong turning, we were soon at the parking spot and the signpost for the Moyle Way, D143277.  This was a very easy and pleasant stroll through the forest, which then opened out as it zigzagged up the moorland with great views to Knocklayd GI/AH-002 and Rathlin Island.  At the summit, there was a cairn of sorts, but we moved a few metres south-easterly away, to set up and shelter by a small bank. For the first time, I got a contact into England, with G4XBL in Aspatria, Cumbria.  Three GI stations then meant that the 4 points were in the bag, before I reset as usual to try 2m SSB.  This time, there was a little more success, and a summit-to-summit contact with Colin MM0OWL/P on Tinto GM/SS-064.  We descended to the car and anticipated our final activation of the holiday on the previously unactivated summit of Cross Slieve GI/AH-011.
