We activated this summit on Friday 30th May 2003. We accepted an invitation from Richard G3CWI to have a SOTA day out together - Richard and his son Lewis (8), and myself and my son Liam (5). Richard kindly offered to drive, and hence a very relaxing day of SOTAing was enjoyed by myself! Following our earlier activation of Titterstone Clee Hill WB-004, we took the A49 back up to Craven Arms, then right onto the B4368 heading NE towards Telford. This then becomes the B4378 and reaches Much Wenlock, where it is necessary to continue onto the A4169, before turning left and heading through Little Wenlock to the car park at SJ 637 094 (close to J7 of the M54). From here, it is simply a case of follow the track. At the top of the first bit of ascent (in a wooded area), there was a coffee and ice cream shop. We didn't partake, but it looked useful for future activations. The trig point was busy, so after reaching it and getting the compulsory photos, we headed back and operated from Heaven's Gate at SJ 630 083. A very nice summit with good views, particularly to the south, and most pleasant in the warm late afternoon sun and light breeze. Thanks to the following stations, all worked on 2m FM, the first two with 2.5 watts, the third and fourth with 500mW as my battery began to wane:
