From Titterstone Clee Hill G/WB-004, Jimmy navigated a route via the A456, B4364 and the village of Clee St Margaret to the walk start at SO585868.  I parked the car by a hedge a short way up this track.  It was a pleasant lunchtime with the sun out, so we donned our sun hats and commenced the march up the track which cuts up the steep western face of the hill.

Pot Noodle time on Brown Clee Hill!    The trig point has been broken down, and the essential markers set into the new path    The trig point has been broken down, and the essential markers set into the new path

We were surprised to discover that the triangulation column had disappeared from the summit.  Its position had been taken by a viewfinder, and we noticed that a network of new stone paths had been laid around this area.  Closer inspection revealed the benchmark and the theodolite plate from the original trig point to be preserved and set in the stone path.

It was rather breezy across the top, so we looked to use one of the many earth banks for shelter.  We set up the radio gear behind one of these and settled down into the comfortable springy heather.  For a change today, we had brought only hot water in our flask, and a couple of Pot Noodles, and lunch was prepared before making the initial CQ call.  About 25 minutes were spent playing radio before we dismantled the station and set off back down to the car, and across to Callow Hill G/WB-015.
