Friday 27th July 2018 was our final day in North Wales, and we were both pretty much devoid of energy after five days of exertions in the Snowdonia mountains.  As such, we decided to just tackle three trivially easy SOTA summits to get us on our way home to Cheshire.

For Holyhead Mountain, we crossed the Menai Strait onto the Isle of Anglesey, and then over onto Holy Island where we parked in the pay-and-display car park at the foot of the mountain.  We followed the winding track up the hill to the summit, which is always a favourite one being almost surrounded by sea!

Both Jimmy and I went for a 2m handheld FM VHF activation on this one, and that proved sufficient, even if it did take half-an-hour or so to each accumulate the requisite four QSOs.

We descended and made away way across Anglesey to Mynydd Bodafon GW/NW-071.
