Moel Famau 2015

After descent from Foel Fenlli GW/NW-051, down to Bwlch Pen Barras, I went to the mobile cake/tea shop and treated myself to a piece of homemade energy-boosting fudge.  Then it was back on the Offa's Dyke Path (more like "Offa's Dyke Motorway" on this section) up to the summit of Moel Famau, about 45 minutes' walk.  This was the 3rd of 5 summits on Sunday 7th June 2015.

Jubilee Tower        Trig point

It was warm and sunny most of the way up, but at the summit it was cold and sunny, so fleece and Goretex jacket were added swiftly.  I set up the 10m GP vertical between Jubilee Tower and the trig point, and got on with operating.

Tom M1EYP        Bit nippier so put coat on!

Just five contacts were made, 4 on 10m CW and 1 on 10m SSB.  A S2S contact was made with OK2PDT/P on OK/VY-053.  I was perfectly satisfied with such a short activation as I was keen to get on to the next summit - Penycloddiau GW/NW-054.
