Saturday 30th April 2005 - From Hope Mountain GW/NW-062, more wrong turnings were taken, and we were somewhat out of the way when we regained our bearings and headed for Mold. We continued on the A494 and reached the car park of The Forge Motel, where the Offa's Dyke Path crosses the road. We followed the ODP up through a field full of inquisitive bulls and around the contour below the summit. The junction of paths in now signposted, and one of them indicates "Moel Gyw", suggesting that this track is now at least a permitted path. The cage at the summit was completely padlocked, unlike last time, and a fully handheld activation took place. We descended and made our drive around the country lanes to the start point for Penycloddiau GW/NW-054.
