Wentwood 2015

South Wales SOTA Trip - Day 6 (part 5) - Friday 27th May 2015

From Brandy Hill GW/MW-037, it was a speedy dash along the A40 and A48 dual carriageways, and M4 motorway to Junction 24.  Jimmy directed me up to the small car park for Wentwood summit, which would just be a couple of minutes walk away.  Another easy summit!

We found the trig point more easily this time, and got to work setting up.  Four contacts came quickly for me on 10m CW, and not too much longer for Jimmy on 2m FM.  I also took a few minutes to offer the trig point on the WAB net.

It was a pleasant sunny early evening, but we still had aspirations for two more activations.  So again it was a quick decamp and brisk walk back to the car.

Now the plan was to head north into England and the Forest of Dean, and a very easy summit in Gloucestershire - Ruardean Hill G/WB-021.
