Wills Neck 2018

The fourth summit of the day on Thursday 28th June 2018 was Wills Neck G/SC-002.  It was a bit more of a drive from Selworthy Beacon G/SC-005 back on Exmoor, to this hill in the Quantocks, but straightforward enough.  A public road leads up to a handy car park, fairly close to the summit, and fairly high up in the hills too.

From the car park, it's a bit of a "down and up" but it doesn't take long at all.  This time we tried to complete the activation using just 2m FM, which we managed to do inside half-an-hour.  Very much slower than it would take on our local summits at home of course, but still probably just quicker and easier than setting up (and taking down) portable antennas.

The final summit of this epic trip would be Dundry Down G/SC-010.  More of an "epic tip" than an epic trip though!
