SOTA road trip, Day 7 - Friday 7th August 2020
From Ruardean Hill G/WB-021, it was a drive of around 20km West. I parked on a verge opposite the access road up to Dawn of the Day Cottage. I was tempted to try driving up that and requesting to park up there to save some vertical metres of climbing, but half-remembered something about this not being possible - and remembered that I was supposed to be getting metres in my legs and calories burned for my own good!
I walked up the grassy path in parallel to the cottage driveway, gaining about 75m in height. From the T-junction of public footpaths then reached, I continued ahead in a straight line for the final approach to the trig point, gaining a further 50m or so vertically.
I did another activation just on 17m CW, and made just the required four contacts. Next up was Garway Hill G/WB-013.
