Garway Hill, G/WB-013 - 366m ASL - SO 436 250 - OS Explorer 189 - 1 SOTA point           

SOTA road trip, Day 7 - Friday 7th August 2020

From Graig Syfyrddin GW/SW-020, it was a short drive North East back over the border into England, and onto the Eastern shoulder of Garway Hill.  I parked halfway up the transmitter access road and accessed the common via the PROW beside the White House residence.  From here it was a gentle walk up the grassy slope to the trig point and brick shelter at the summit.

After three QSOs on 17m CW, things seemed to dry up.  However, a call on the 2m FM handheld netted me the fourth and qualifying contact, although I did then make one more on 17m CW.  Next stop was Aconbury Hill G/WB-024.
