Mynydd y Cwm 2017

I had usually done this "set of five" in the winter period in the past, so as to pick up the bonus points for Moel Famau GW/NW-044 and Foel Fenlli GW/NW-051.  So it seemed strange to be walking up Mynydd y Cwm in bright sunshine on Sunday 7th June 2015; I am used to doing this in twilight and activation in darkness!

After Penycloddiau GW/NW-054, I drove to the wide entrance to the gate and track, to the East of the summit.  I recalled my mistake on my previous visit and made sure I did not miss the left turning onto another track.  Even so, I still managed to veer off into the woods too eagerly (ie too soon) to work my way up to the summit, whereas just staying on the main track would have brought me to an obvious summit path.

For the first time in the day, I faced a challenge to collect my 10m multiplier, and even to get for requisite four contacts to activate the summit.  The table below explains how I did it - rather hard work!
